AD22 takes inspiration from the idea of Animas Domus — the soul of the home. It reflects a belief that good design is not only about aesthetics, but atmosphere, memory and permanence.

At its centre is a respect for what already exists: original furniture, honest materials, careful restoration and objects with history. Rather than producing more for the sake of it, AD22 is interested in giving meaningful pieces new context, new life and lasting purpose.

  • A cozy living room with wooden flooring, a red couch, a glass coffee table with a potted plant, a rug, and a fireplace. There are framed pictures and artwork on the walls, shelves with books and decorative items, and large windows with wooden frames letting in natural light.
  • Modern open-plan kitchen and dining area with large window, brick wall, and solar shading structures outside.
  • Modern living room with large windows, wooden accents, a round light fixture hanging from the ceiling, and outdoor greenery visible through the windows. Furniture includes chairs, a rug, and shelves with decorative items.
  • Indoor seating area with two armchairs with colorful striped cushions and a small white table with a potted succulent plant, brick walls, a yellow bookshelf, and large windows with black frames.
  • Living room with wooden walls and floors, featuring a beige sofa with pillows, a blue chair, and a small table with vases. Large windows and glass doors reveal an outdoor area with trees and a screened porch.

The Studio

AD22 is a new styling studio and creative exhibition space housed within the upper level of the historic Vampt Vintage Design building in Newtown, Sydney. Founded by longtime design trader David Beeman in collaboration with creative director Agnitha Helene Thomas, AD22 brings together vintage design, interiors, art, fashion and creative culture under one evolving roof.

At its core, AD22 is part styling studio, part gallery, part working atelier — a space designed to foster collaboration between interior designers, architects, stylists, artists, photographers, collectors and cultural makers.

The Collection

Working closely with the extensive Vampt collection, AD22 offers access to an evolving catalogue of rare mid-century and high-end European and Brazilian designer pieces, available for editorial shoots, campaigns, exhibitions and residential styling.

What We Do

Alongside furniture hire and sourcing, the studio offers full-service property and interior styling for both sale campaigns and private homes — blending collected design, atmosphere and emotional storytelling into each project.

Built within the legacy of Vampt yet carrying a distinctly new energy, AD22 represents a meeting point between old worlds and contemporary expression — honouring timeless design while creating room for new creative voices.
